Thankyou to Jennifer Lucy Allan, Late Junction and Reduced listening for supporting my music and playing 'Wtybcrechk' from In Eynem on Late Junction last week xx Listen back to the show here xx
Check out this series of 6 beautiful offerings celebrating In Eynem on Facebook or Instagram, created with love to celebrate the release. I collaborated with videographer and filmmaker Nathan Ryan-Jones. We collected material from in an around Margate, where we live, that captures the sounds and textures from the featured track Wtybcrechk from the EP. May these short films draw you in to a dreamy sound world of industrial grinding and cerebral Yiddish melodies played on my cello :)
"The adventurous Brit cello scene...can now add Francesca Ter-Berg to their ranks" - Clive Bell, The Wire Magazine.

This is long overdue - an offering I could see being released many moons ago. But life has many twists and turns, and it seems now is the time to start sharing my sounds with you all in an incremental and gentle way. My creative journey until now has been rich and the connections I have made and collaborations I encountered thus far have all led me to this point. 'In Eynem' means 'united' in Yiddish, a word which felt apt for the present time. The importance of interconnectivity and community is what grounds and centres the music in this release. In Eynem is a portal, a way to enter into my musical world. A kind of introduction. The textures, sounds and traditional music I work with have surrounded me for many years and I is nice to share this.
The recording is a live performance at Laylow in W10, London, a moment in time that was beautifully captured, mixed and mastered by Dyre Gormsen. The performances was a support show for one of my favourite bands - Hejira - and I thank them for the opportunity. And I'm happy to bravely share it with you all as a humble first release and hopefully the first of many.
I made a special 2-part mix tape for my show on Margate Radio focusing on some of my influences of the years leading to where I am at creatively in my life and celebrating some of my favourite artists. Check out both shows below and see my page on the Margate Radio website for archival shows featuring interviews and previews from some of the UK's most genre-pushing artists. xx
