Yeh yeh yeh!! submitted my commissioned piece - Bough Talk - for the upcoming 'Sunken Ecologies' themed Margate NOW Festival 2021, curated by Anna Colin. It is an honour to have been asked to make something for this beautiful festival.
I went out to the Sunken Gardens in Westbrook, where the festival will take place, and recorded some of the sights and sounds, intimately capturing the ambiance and flow of the space using a mixture of specialist microphones for exploring and sonically experimenting.
Bough Talk can be encountered in four parts located in different sections of the garden, at different times of the day.

The first Margate Song Cycle is complete. What a terrifying and joyous experience it was so share a brand new (unfinished) original song amongst friends and an all-star line-up of local and legendary Margate talent. Awwwwww yes! A pleasure and an honour. I do miss my friends and appreciate you all muchos. Thanks for sharing your special songs for us in the magical Garden Gate Project, amongst the plants and produce. And a special thanks to the host Will Rees.

Thankyou to Jennifer Lucy Allan, Late Junction and Reduced listening for supporting my music and playing 'Wtybcrechk' from In Eynem on Late Junction last week xx Listen back to the show here xx
Check out this series of 6 beautiful offerings celebrating In Eynem on Facebook or Instagram, created with love to celebrate the release. I collaborated with videographer and filmmaker Nathan Ryan-Jones. We collected material from in an around Margate, where we live, that captures the sounds and textures from the featured track Wtybcrechk from the EP. May these short films draw you in to a dreamy sound world of industrial grinding and cerebral Yiddish melodies played on my cello :)
"The adventurous Brit cello scene...can now add Francesca Ter-Berg to their ranks" - Clive Bell, The Wire Magazine.
