Excited to announce that the debut single, La Serena, from my new Ladino song project with singer-songwriter Ana Silvera is born. Yja (Daughter) brings new light to these old romantic beautiful songs from the Judeo-Spanish tradition. Sung in Ladino, the Medieval Spanish spoken by the diaspora since the 1400s in Spain and Portugal before the were forced to disperse and become disinherited from their homes in the 1600's. These songs have stayed alive until now and we are honoured to be able to look into the archives and explore some of these treasures.

We stood side by side,
He had his arm around me
But to keep the space of breath and
was to nurture - observe - unleash -
flow - respect.
He said he had to let go of me,
to stand apart,
so that he may see deeper and understand.
To love someone whilst also giving
them the space to be entirely themselves
and to admire them for it,
That. Is is a truly amazing experience.
